Christmas Meal

Hi all

We are having the Jitsu Christmas meal on Friday 3rd December at the Akash (an Indian restaurant on Crwys road). We will be meeting at the Akash at 7pm. After we've eaten the plan is to go to a pub or two.

If you want to come please talk to me (Laura Packer - green belt) in training this week as we need to confirm numbers

End of Term Social

Hey guys, a handover of power in the committe is taking place as we speak. So your new social sec is going to be Laura Packer (the posh ninja- that's her official title). She's arranged a social this Sunday starting at the Woody at 8, then another pub, then on to Live Lounge.

It'll be great to all get together before people start thinning out for summer, and to say goodbye to the people that are leaving us forever, or for a little while at least!

Post AGM Drinks...

It's time for the AGM again, if you don't know what it is count yourself lucky, those who are going know who they are. We'll be having drinks in the Taf afterwards and anyone who wants to join us feel free. Unfortunately I can't give a definite time for when the meeting will be over or when we'll be in the Taf, so just come down after training. Possibly going out later to live lounge. Six Nations Begin!!!

Hello one and all... the Six Nations starts on the 6th of Feb. Italy vs Ireland starts at half 2 and England vs Wales starts at 5, so let's meet in the Crwys pub at 2. Jen

Next Social Night Out!

Hey guys, next social is this Wednesday after training, going to Meteros but meeting in the Gatekeeper at 9... so grab food on the way down or alternatively feel free to meet us in Meteros. See you all there, Jen : )

Come Play this Saturday...

Hey guys there's a social tomorrow night to come play, meeting at half 8 in the Taf and then going into the union sometime around 9 to half 9 so tickets will still be free. Anyone who wants to come later is more than welcome, Jen.

National Success!!! (not to mention fun)

Well done to everyone who went to Nationals and trained hard to represent the club. Big congratulations to Laura and Rod who did extremely well in their categories! The whole event was a lot of fun, here's some photos from the weekend, hope you don't ache too much lol. To anyone who couldn't make it this year, don't panic it's a annual event...

Halloween @ the Union... Spooky!!!

This Saturday is Halloween, so lets all go out, get dressed up and have a good time. We've all been training hard lately so it's time to celebrate.... come as a devil, ghost, an undead ninja, whatever takes your fancy. There will be a drink of your choice for the best dressed! Meeting at 8 in the Woodville then onto the Union. It may be an idea to get tickets this time as they may get sold out. : )

Social to Metros

Ok everyone this Wednesday will be Teddy's 21st birthday, and we've all been invited to metros for the night!!! Details of time and place that we'll meet will be decided at training on Wednesday....

Metros Night Out

Our social next week is going to be on Wednesday (7th) to metros, for those who don't know it's a rock club, which is pretty cheap and sells toast!!! However if anyone is superstitious and has a dodgy knee than maybe give the night a miss (just ask Sensei Tom), otherwise meeting in the Gatekeeper (another weatherspoons) between half nine and ten, and then going onto metros quite soon after that as the queue tends to get long... don't forget student cards!

New Jitsu Year...

It's the first training session tonight and we're looking forward to seeing all the new faces! Don't worry if you can't make it tonight, you can come along to any of our weekly sessions, held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and don't forget your first session is free!!!

We go to the pub after every training session so they'll be plenty of time to get to know each other.

This Thursday night will be the first Curry Club of the new term, just go to Talybont Social after training and we'll go from there.

This Saturday there will also be a social, starting at Central Bar at 7.30 for a meal and then off round the pubs and clubs... if you need directions please ask....

Welcome Everyone

• Aiuchi Jiu Jitsu Nationals 14-15 November- there is training over two days and at least one night out - it gives you a chance to meet people from all over the country who do jiu jitsu.

Post Training Party

After the training on Sat 6th June that Smiley and Rod are putting on, does anyone fancy meeting up for one last social of the year. I won't be able to make it so if anyone has any ideas about what to do and where to go leave a comment. Russ has mentioned a rock night at Bogiez, or everyone could meet in the Prince of Wales and decide from there, all ideas welcome. Last meal of the year...

To celebrate the end of the student year there will be a meal after training on Thursday 11th of June. Meeting in Talybont social around 8 if you aren't training, and then we'll decide where to go from there. If not see you at training and have an amazing summer, Jen .

Tom's Birthday Celebration!

It's Tom's (sensei Tom that is) birthday soon and to celebrate the event and thank him for all the hard work he's put into the club, and the lifts he's very kindly given, we're heading out for some drinks. Meeting at 8 this Friday at the Woody and then where ever the night takes us. Looking forward to seeing you all there, especially as it's quickly coming up for a lot of people's summer hols!!! Star Trek Movie...

Hiya everyone, there's going to be a social to see the new Star Trek movie on Wednesday after training. We can eat in Talybont and then head down to Cineworld for either the 21.30, 22.00 or 22.20 showing, depending on how quickly people (or rather I) eat. Tickets are £4.60 for students. Come Play and My Birthday...

Hiya hope you had a good Easter break. It's my 21st birthday on the 30th of April and everyone is more than welcome to come along to Come Play on the 2nd of May to celebrate.
