Why I do Jiu Jitsu: I've always wanted to do martial arts, but not had the opportunity. The atmosphere in a dojo is completely unlike any other. There's something special about it. I've never been very tall or heavy for my age and at times in the past, I wished I knew then what I know now. With 2 of the best sensei you will ever find and a wealth of knowledge from grades with different experiences, you can go a long way with the right motivation and a healthy mind-set.

Dangerous? Not really. Like all sports, there is a possibility to get injured, but everyone has respect for each other in Jiu Jitsu and injuries happen rarely!

I only joined in September 2007 and already I've been through a grading, a national event and learnt a lot about not only protecting myself, but avoiding bad situations altogether.
Other interests: I love keeping active by running, cycling, playing rugby and cricket and occasionally horse-riding. I also like travelling, learning languages and encountering new cultures. Going out with my mates is always a plus in my book; especially the Jitsu socials!
